470 SE Asbury Lane, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983

This simple, decent, and affordable Habitat for Humanity home was built in partnership with the Edouard family, a local family in need of a decent place to live. Working alongside volunteers, and logging over 300 hours of sweat equity, the Edouard family helped build their own home and will soon pay an affordable mortgage.

This home is modestly sized at 1,400 sq. ft. under air. It is large enough for the homeowner family’s needs, but small enough to keep construction and maintenance costs affordable. St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity uses quality, locally available building materials and a design that reflects the local climate and culture.

The labor of volunteers and partner families, efficient building methods, modest house sizes, and no-profit loans make it affordable for low-income families to purchase Habitat homes.

This home was built in partnership with the City of Port St. Lucie who donated seven vacant lots to St. Lucie Habitat in 2018, and our local sub-contractor partners who provide us with special rates.
